Leslee Stout served on the Centennial Committee for CSU 52. At the time, she was working as a clerk in the Ferrier Division of the Edmonton Transit System involved with resource management of all the bus operator files. She became a shop steward in 1978, when the need arose because of the reorganization of her department, and provides a number of interesting insights of the steward’s role based on her experiences. She also discusses the growing diversity amongst staff of the Transit System.
