Celanese Edmonton: Workers’ Stories

Celanese Edmonton workers recall their camaraderie on the job and in the community as well as how their union fought for better benefits and safer, healthier working conditions. Many jobs in the petrochemical plant, but especially those performed by the women, were unhealthy. Celanese represented value-added industry which multi-national capital in an age of free trade is moving from Alberta to slave-wage economies.
